Hello,

We are so excited to meet all of you! This exciting year will be filled with many new friends, adventures, and learning. We understand that Kindergarten can be overwhelming at times, and we want to ensure that all families know we are with them every step of the way.

In our classrooms, your student is cared for, protected, engaged, active, learning, and LOVED. It is our goal to encourage your children to be the best people they can be. We promise to help them learn and grow both inside and outside our classroom. Every child comes to us with wonderful gifts, strengths, and talents, and we can’t wait to help them flourish even more.

Kindergarten 25/26 Supply List

For the Student:
Backpack
1 folder
1 pair of headphones-must be in a ziploc bag with student's name labeled on it
1 package of glue sticks
2 pairs of scissors-round tip
2 boxes of #2 pencils-sharpened
2 boxes of crayola crayons (24ct)
2 boxes of crayola markers (12ct)

For the Classroom:
2 containers of clorox wipes
Girls ONLY: Tissue boxes
Boys ONLY: Paper towels

Optional:
Copy paper (white)
Construction Paper (multicolor)
Stickers

Please keep in mind the only supplies NOT shared with the classroom is the backpack, folder, and headphones. The rest of the supplies will be shared so please do not label anything with names.

Miss Macee Nithman

Hello,

My name is Macee Nithman and I am so excited to be your student's Kindergarten teacher this school year! I am very passionate about teaching Kindergarten and love to help my students find a love for learning. It is my personal belief that successful education can only be achieved as a team; meaning the teacher, parent, student, and administration all come together to ensure academic and personal growth for all children. Kindergarten is a time for children to expand their love of learning, general knowledge, and ability to socialize and reach out to the world. DVUSD’s educational program is designed to provide a nurturing and safe environment that allows for academic and personal growth. While Kindergarten marks a crucial transitional milestone in your child’s educational journey, it is still important for children to be children.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education, ESL Endorsement, and a K-8 Reading Endorsement is in progress!
