We are so excited to meet all of you! This exciting year will be filled with many new friends, adventures, and learning. We understand that Kindergarten can be overwhelming at times, and we want to ensure that all families know we are with them every step of the way.

In our classrooms, your student is cared for, protected, engaged, active, learning, and LOVED. It is our goal to encourage your children to be the best people they can be. We promise to help them learn and grow both inside and outside our classroom. Every child comes to us with wonderful gifts, strengths, and talents, and we can’t wait to help them flourish even more.

Kindergarten Supply List

For the Student:
Backpack
1 folder
1 pair of headphones-must be in a ziploc bag with student's name labeled on it
1 package of glue sticks
2 pairs of scissors-round tip
2 boxes of #2 pencils-sharpened
2 boxes of crayola crayons (24ct)
2 boxes of crayola markers (12ct)

For the Classroom:
2 containers of clorox wipes
Girls ONLY: Tissue boxes
Boys ONLY: Paper towels

Optional:
Copy paper (white)
Construction Paper (multicolor)
Stickers

Please keep in mind the only supplies NOT shared with the classroom is the backpack, folder, and headphones. The rest of the supplies will be shared so please do not label anything with names.

Ms. Sarah Dressman

Welcome to our Kindergarten classroom! My name is Ms. Dressman, and I am so excited to welcome you to a new school year. This is my 14th year in education, and I still find so much joy in watching young learners grow, discover new things, and build confidence every day.

Kindergarten is such a special year filled with firsts, and I feel honored to be part of that journey with your child. My goal is to create a classroom where every student feels safe, loved, and encouraged to take risks, ask questions, and celebrate their accomplishments. I want our classroom to be a place where children are excited to come each morning and know they belong.

One of the things I am most looking forward to this year is building a strong classroom community. Together, we will learn how to be kind friends, respectful classmates, and enthusiastic learners while creating lasting memories along the way.

When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two children, and our dog and making memories with my family. One of our favorite things to do together is watch baseball, and we love cheering on our favorite team, The Dodgers, and enjoying time together.

I truly believe that the best learning happens when families and teachers work together. Thank you for trusting me to be part of your child's Kindergarten experience. I look forward to getting to know each of you and sharing a year full of learning, laughter, growth, and fun. Here's to a fantastic school year!

Mrs. Dina Smith

Hello, Greenbrier families! I am Dina Smith, and I am thrilled to serve as a Kindergarten teacher here at Greenbrier. I am deeply committed to helping every student gain the skills they need for a bright future.

During my over 4 decades of working in education I have had the opportunity to hold several roles. I have been a Pre K teacher, 3rd grade teacher, 1st grade teacher, Reading Specialist for K-6 students, an Instructional Coach, and my favorite of all, KINDERGARTEN!!!!

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Jeff, and our son, Max. We are a family of Volkswagen enthusiasts who love restoring vintage cars and attending VW camp outs. When we aren’t working on cars, you can find me traveling, enjoying the beach, or playing with our West Highland Terriers.
