Meet the Teachers
Mrs. Genevieve Gardella - Art
Mrs.Genevieve Gardella
Hello, my name is Genevieve Gardella and I am your child’s art teacher at Greenbrier Elementary. I am originally from Washington state, but moved to Arizona over 20 years ago. My family includes a husband, two teen sons, a 9 year old daughter and a toddler (boy), almost 2 years old. We also have two cats and a dog, so a very full house! I love books, drawing, spending time with my family, nature and traveling when possible!
I taught 4 years of visual arts at the elementary level and 1 year of visual arts at the high school level prior to coming to Greenbrier. I love teaching drawing skills and I love seeing the way your children use creative thinking to problem solve on the page. I encourage children to persevere rather than start fresh, as this is a challenge to their creativity and helps them to develop grit. To quote an art teacher that I know, “Turn mistakes into masterpieces!”
If you would like to reach me, please contact me by email and I will be happy to speak with you.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Fine Arts, Painting, Arizona State University Tempe 2011

Miss Cynthia Christopher - Band
Hello and welcome to band at Greenbrier!
My name is Cynthia Christopher and I am the band teacher here at Greenbrier. I started
teaching band at Greenbrier after I graduated in 2023 from Ottawa University in partnership with
Glendale Community College to earn my Bachelors degree in music education with emphasis in
instrumental music.
I grew up in the Deer Valley District. I attended Mirage Elementary School, then Desert Sky
Middle School, and graduated from Deer Valley High School in 2016. I also participated in band
starting in 4th grade (before we started our Music Delivery Model (MDM) that we have now) all
the way through college. I am now part of the Community Band at Glendale Community College
so I am still able to play my trumpet often and make music just like our band kids!
My Husband also works in the district teaching at one of the middle schools teaching band and
choir. We have 2 pets together, a beautiful husky name Yena and a beautiful gray cat named
Lucy Gray (Lucy for short). We enjoy going on hikes and to the gym together. Also playing video
games and watching movies while we have some down time.
Mrs. Glory Rogers - Library
Mrs. Ronda Clark - Music
Hello! My name is Ronda Clark and I teach all the general music classes during the school day and choir before school.
I have been teaching music for 19 years. I started out teaching middle school music in Litchfield and then moved to Greenbrier in 2017.
Music has been a part of my life as long as I can remember, from singing in church to starting piano lessons in first grade, playing trumpet in junior high and accompanying choir in high school. Piano is my main instrument but I love to sing as well. I knew from a young age that I wanted to share the love of music with kids. I am so thankful for what I get to do every day with the wonderful Greenbrier students.
I grew up in Washington State but moved to Arizona for college. After spending a few years at a community college, I transferred to Grand Canyon University where I finished my degree and also met my husband, who was also a music major. We have been married 19 years. We have two beautiful girls, who love music just as much as my husband and I do. Besides a lot of music in the house, we like to take road trips as a family and have been to more than 30 of the states. It is fun to make memories together that way and see so many places together.
Through out the year, if you ever have any questions, please don't hesitate to email. I will always be happy to help in any way I can.
